V60 coffee preparation tutorial

V60 coffee preparation explanation

The common method of preparing black coffee is distillation. Several tools are used for this method, with the filter being the heart. The method of preparing coffee varies in the tools according to the filter, its thickness, and the distillation holes for the tool.

The most famous of these tools:

*Chemex

* The V60

* The Airpress

* The Kalita

*Clever

* French press

To start preparing a cup of coffee, we must have:

1_ Preparation tool..

2_ Carefully cultivated and selected coffee.

3_ A special scale for coffee

4_ Filter jug..

5_ A thermometer to measure the water temperature

.

Carefully grown coffee is the reason why our coffee is called specialty coffee, unlike other coffees on the market that we call commercial coffee.

Coffee preparation standards..

.

* Coffee grinding

It is mostly rough.

.

* Feathers... water for coffee

For every gram of coffee, there are 16 grams of water.

.

* Water temperature

From 90 to 94

.

* Extraction time

From 3 minutes to 4 minutes

.

When preparing a cup of coffee, you must take these criteria into account to produce a very delicious cup of coffee full of refreshing flavors.

A cup usually contains 18 grams, and you can extract 288 grams in 3 minutes by pouring the required amount of water in two batches as follows:

18 x 288 = 16 grams.

.

Note: All measurements are taken using a scale for milk and water.

The best filter is in 3 minutes.

Why do we require the nomination to be within 3 minutes??

The answer is.. When we start pouring water on the coffee, the flavors and aromatic oils are extracted for the first two minutes. With the third minute, the bitterness begins to be extracted, and bitterness is beautiful, but to a certain extent. The longer the filtering lasts for more than 3 minutes, the more bitterness increases.

When is the acidity high, when is the bitterness high, and when is the taste balanced in a cup of coffee??

The acidity will be high if the extraction is fast, the bitterness will be high if the extraction is slow, and the taste will be balanced if the extraction is perfect. The grinder controls the speed and slowness of the extraction.

You must try several grinding degrees until you reach the level where the extraction is ideal, 3 to 4 minutes.

Another factor that controls bitterness and acidity is the water temperature. The higher it is than 94, the more bitter and bad the taste will be. Likewise, the closer it is to lukewarmness, the worse the extraction will be. Therefore, a balance must be maintained between 90 and 94 degrees Celsius.

As for the flavors and hints in a cup of coffee, they are somewhat complex. The degree of roasting has an effect, as does the way the coffee is processed and the way it is prepared. However, in most cases, if you prepare the cup in a perfect way, you will be able to taste and smell the flavors very clearly.

The humidification process is important at the beginning of filtration to remove air from between the coffee particles, as follows:

After placing the coffee in the tool, we pour double the amount of coffee per gram, meaning approximately we pour 40 grams of water, and we leave the coffee to moisten for 30 to 40 seconds, then after that we complete the filtration in two batches.

Good luck and soon
